Description :	Locomotive diésel à voie normale, fonctionnant par transmission électrique (génératrice à courant continu). Disposition des essieux : deux bogies A1A A1A. Moteur type 606 NA à six cylindres. Fonctionnait à l'origine à 96 km/h, ramenés à 80 km/h par la S.N.C.F.

Historique :	Cette locomotive, commandée aux Etats-Unis par la France après la Libération, a été fabriquée par Baldwin Locomotive Works à Eddystone (près de Philadelphie), n° de construction 72898. Ce modèle, alors baptisé 'the Liberation's Mike', était affecté pour des manoeuvres lourdes dans les triages. La présente locomotive a sans doute circulé dans le port de Marseille. A partir de 1955, elle a été affectée au dépôt de la Plaine. C'est en 1960 qu'elle a été numérotée A1A A1A 62001.
